      These birds have been subjected to what would appear to be the worst treatment short of death. Sadly, these are not the worst battery hens that I have seen (nor will they be for you once you have finished viewing these pictures). However, these bird’s lives, unlike their factory farm sisters and brethren, has a happy ending; they were rescued.
