      Here are the replacement chickens for those which either succumb to the stresses of intensive farming or have been slaughtered because they were no longer profitable. These chickens are hatched, and to a limited extent raised, in drawers contained within large incubators. If the chickens are female they will immediately be put into production as soon as the producer deems it economically viable. If they are male, the next picture describes their fate.
