      This is a dumpster half full of chicks that for a variety of reasons didn’t make the cut. A few no doubt died from natural causes, a few more from the inadequate conditions provided them. The majority though are an unwanted byproduct of the egg industry; male chicks. They are left here, dead and dying, along with egg shells. At the bottom of the picture is a clear garbage bag full of chickens, one can’t help but wonder if they were left to slowly smother under the weight of their brothers or if they suffocated when the bag was tied off and thrown into the dumpster.
