      It is unfortunate that this scenario had to occur. All that would have been necessary was for the person who performed the dredging to take twenty minutes and pick up the turtles shown here and carry them to a warm place to reside until their natural environment was once again ready to inhabit come spring. Instead, they have been left to their fate.
