Hunted to Extinction

These are just a few of the species eliminated or near elimination because of hunters. Does this mean that today's hunters are capable of this? As a worldwide whole, yes hunters are a detriment. In America it is likely not to be so, but to say that hunters have hunted both now and in the past with no negative effects on their game species ignores not only past damages, but the damage that can occur in the future.
