- "P.S. Turns out THE FUHRER was a big animla rights nut himself. (sic)" [31]
- " if cows got the same equal rights as humans do, what will they do with it? Go to school? Get married? Vote? Do ANYTHING that affects the world? I didn't think so." [31]
- "Refusing to eat a ham sandwich won't bring the pig back to life." [31]
- "I believe that a big portion of PETA members have been brainwashed, and can as well be brainwashed again and be turned away from PETA." [31]
- While discussing kitchen appliances someone turned to me because I was a vegan and said "do you even have a toaster?"
- While trying to convince me of taking a job at a slaughterhouse someone remarked "you’re never going to stop it."
[Gee! . . . I never thought of it that way. I guess it would be O.K. then.]
- Someone critically asked PeTA these questions.
- "Has your group ever organized a protest against the lions’ treatment of antelopes?- If fishing is considered cruel, do you consider the cutting down of trees to be cruel? I like to fish but I don't use a chainsaw on them. Is there a moral difference? What do you think? - Would you be offended if I mowed my lawn?" [30]
- A Gentleman attended the Animal Rights 2001 Conference on behalf of a pro-hunting and animal use organization. Here is what he had to say about the event.
- Although the First Amendment guarantees the right of free speech and free assembly, many of the things I saw and heard could only be characterized as inciting mayhem.- Walking through the parking lot each day revealed an abundance of bumper stickers. Most referred to veganism in varying intensities. The eventual imposition of veganism nationwide was the most common. - [Newcomers] were encouraged to meet with instructors later in hallways and at dinner if they were interested in learning "more" about what was discussed and the things only alluded to. It appeared to be a bazaar for inducting young people into terrorist activities.
- At one point I felt as if I was attending a communist training program back in the 50's or 60's for a cadre of insurgents to be sent into a country to be subverted . . . Frightening is too weak a word to describe what it is like to watch this take place in a luxury hotel in a free country. [29]
- "Vegetarians really do like meat, they are just really stubborn people, that like to be different." [17]
- "proponents of raw veganism as Biblical nutrition ..., are actually spreading a diet heresy that is demonic in origin." [16]
- "A Carnite is someone who lives by the Carnite Code: Whenever a Carnite sees someone intentionally not eat meat, he or she warns that person that if they do not eat meat, that the Carnite will be forced to eat as much meat as was going to be given up and a little more in addition to the meat the Carnite was going to eat before the encounter. Thus, the individual's decision to not eat meat would cause more meat to be consumed than if they had eaten it themselves." [26]
- Someone describes what to do if at a work meeting with vegetarians.
"This is what you do: Make sure you are sitting opposite the veggie. Quickly fold a piece of paper so it stands up like a name card, typically like the ones you have in meetings. Write the veggy's name followed by the word MURDERER on it and face the card outwards. Behind this card you are going to build a tower of meat. Each time they eat a lettuce sandwich add two meat sandwiches to the tower. If there is more than one veggie in room write their name on the card too. By the end of the meeting you'll have a colossal tower in front of you for all to see. At the end of the meeting, in a load voice say, "You are responsible!", point to the veggie and then eat your tower. Alternatively, everytime they eat an sandwich stuff two meat ones simultaneously into your mouth. Conveying why you are doing this may be hard to do but I'm working on a solution. (sic)" [13]
- "Were it not for the omnivores eating meat, the vegetarians would have nothing to compare their results to. While they look good, we're running their control experiments. The hypocrites get to look white as snow while we do what they would consider to be their dirty work." [14]
- In a review for the book Misplaced Compassion: The Animal Rights Movement Exposed someone stated, "Reasoned, rational, researched. Impeccably documented. Methodically and completely destroys the claims made by animal rights activist groups. A must-read for anyone who really cares about animals." [5]
- "WELL ALL U ANTI HUNTERS AND PEOPLE THAT HATE Hunting look at how much we respect the animals, a whole lot more than u do." [49]
- "You apparently don't know how to read. God said look after the earth by means of controlling animal population by HUNTING!!!" [27]
[I knew something was missing from my chapter of Genesis]
- "God put the animals on this earth for one reason....to be eaten!" [10]
- "...go eat your veggies and live a long healthy life, unless you get hit by a car then eating right was just a waste of time, huh?"
[Yeah, doing the right thing is often a waste of time. If only we could go back in time and tell that to all those who lost their life fighting for a cause, like Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi. Boy would they be sorry.]
- "HEY you retard hunting is fun have you ever been hunting. We can never run out of deer thyat is why they have hunts every year so the deer can mait and have babys and besides if there are problems that deer are getting killed alought mybe they might stop hunting you freaken tree hugger besides we have fish and game offices to stop so they are never going to STOP HUNTING!" [1]
- "Uneducated people are the plaque of our race" [3]
[Um...I believe you mean plague.]
- "did you think about the fact that as we(humans) grow in population we need more room for houses and the such. if we do not hunt animals then there will not be enough room for them." [4]
- "If god didn't want us to hunt he would make it so we couldn't." [20]
